Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv is happy to invite foreign citizens to join the language summer courses that will be held at the Preparatory Department.
While studying at the summer language courses, students will not only learn Russian or Ukrainian languages, but also will get to know the history and traditions of Ukraine by attending the courses in regional studies and various cultural and scientific events. Students of the language courses will also be provided with rooms in a comfortable dormitory (if the rooms are available).
Visiting the outstanding cultural and historical places of Kiev will also be particularly interesting for foreigners. Usually the cultural program includes: visits to museums, monuments of history and architecture of Kiev (Mariinsky Palace, Park Mezhygirya, Water Museum, State Museum of Aviation of Ukraine, Kiev Museum of Western and Oriental Art named after Bogdan and Varvara Khanenko, National Museum of Natural History, National Museum of History of Ukraine, National Art Museum of Ukraine, Dolphinarium, Zoo, Planetarium, Circus).
The Summer School is an event that gives students the opportunity to combine the study process with entertainment and rest, strengthens international and cultural ties, unites people from different countries of the world, who come to discover Ukraine. A lot of foreigners who visited Ukraine for the first time come back later for bright and unforgettable impressions. Summer school gives an excellent opportunity to acquire high-quality knowledge, develop social and communicative skills, expand one's horizons, and get to know more about new culture.
Summer school was established in 2015. Foreigners from different countries of the world, such as the Turkish Republic, the Federal Republic of Germany, the Kingdom of Netherlands, Brazil, the People's Republic of China, Belgium and the Republic of Korea, came to participate in such an interesting event. The training took place during 2 months, 1 month, 2 weeks and 1 week. The language study was combined with the acquaintance of foreigners with the cultural heritage of Ukraine; they were very interested in museums, concert halls, parks and sights of Kiev.
In order to apply for participation in summer language courses, you need to send a request letter of any content to the email address pd@knu.uaA questionnaire and an instruction letter will be sent in response. If a group is planning to come, you need to send an additional list of listeners
